‘E.T. NEED DOME’ (2025) is Baba Chaka’s debut EP! Garnering immediate praise, with comparisons ranging from Vampire Weekend to Bloc Party, it’s ear candy from front to back. Lead single “Stupid People”, a tongue-in-cheek look at the world’s everyday slights and frustrations, serves as the perfect showcase of each members’ respective strengths. (Especially Eli Swift’s iconic lead.)

Stupid lonely
Ugly selfish
Hopeless empty
Human people

“Deactivate” (2025) is the first single to feature Baba’s finalized lineup. It’s also the first track from our forthcoming debut album, FANTASIES. “Deactivate” was written at the tail-end of a destructive break-up, coupled in quick succession with a devastating loss.

The spell is broken
Crying with hope
You've got your broken-
Hearted resolve

Yearning” (2025) is the first collaboration released featuring Baba Chaka and Trevor’s first band, Polynice. A single take captured in the early hours of the morning, after a marathon recording session, “Yearning” is raw in both its emotion and its finish. Richard Mcallister of Polynice features on vocals, offering a glimpse into the conversational dynamic he’s honed with Trevor over their many years of friendship.

“Charlie Brown” (2024) is the first original work by Baba to feature Ethan Echowood’s vocals, and Eli Swift on lead guitar. After 2023’s Bandemonium! Festival, Baba set an intention of refining their sound to be tighter to their core members, rather than embracing featured vocalists and players.
Echowood and McMorran swung for a hook, and “Charlie Brown” captures their infectious energy!

Baba Chaka’s debut single, “Afterglow” (2024), was recorded live in performance at 2023’s inaugural Bandemonium! Festival. Featuring a trio of vocalists, “Afterglow” represents the ambitious sound characteristic of early Baba Chaka originals. “Afterglow” was additionally the first collaboration with Baba’s now bass player, Ellis Frank, who mixed and engineered the track.
